3 Charging Modes
- Green Mode: Charges using energy from your PV system.
In Green mode, the charger initiates charging at a default current of 6A, exclusively using power from renewable sources. The charger will not draw energy from the grid at this setting. Alternatively, the mode offers a 3A option, where charging starts at 3A from renewable generation, and it can supplement up to 3A from the grid if needed. This mode is specifically designed to maximize the use of renewable energy and minimize reliance on grid electricity, ultimately helping users reduce their electricity costs. - Fast Mode: Charges at the highest possible speed.
- ECO Mode: Charges with a consistent power level for efficient energy use.
In Eco mode, users can charge their EV at a user-defined minimum power level. If there’s excess energy from the PV system, the charger will utilize it fully, surpassing the set minimum rate. However, if the PV output is insufficient, the charger will supplement the remaining power from the grid to meet the minimum rate. For instance, if the charging current is set to 16A and the inverter supplies only 10A, the grid will provide the remaining 6A. Conversely, if the PV generates 18A, the Smart EV Charger will deliver the full 18A for charging.

Mr. Mackay –
I’ve heard the argument that “lorem ipsum” is effective in wireframing or design because it helps people focus on the actual layout, or color scheme, or whatever. What kills me here is that we’re talking about creating a user experience that will (whether we like it or not) be DRIVEN by words.
